Software License & Support

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

This Software License & Support Policy applies to software products developed and distributed by Create Element 27 through Create Element Labs, including WordPress plugins and other software products available through CreateElementSLO.com.

By purchasing, downloading, installing, activating, or using Create Element Labs software, you agree to the terms described below.

Software Is Licensed, Not Sold

Purchasing Create Element Labs software grants you permission to use the software according to the license associated with your purchase.

Your purchase does not transfer ownership of the software, source code, branding, documentation, or other intellectual property to you.

Create Element retains all rights not expressly granted under the applicable license.

Your Software License

Unless a specific product page or purchase agreement states otherwise, a Create Element Labs software purchase provides you with a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased software.

The number of websites, installations, users, or devices permitted under a license will be stated on the applicable product page, checkout, customer account, or license information provided with the product.

If a product is offered with multiple license levels, your permitted usage is determined by the license level you purchased.

WordPress Plugin Licenses

For Create Element Labs WordPress plugins, one installation generally means one active production WordPress website unless the applicable product license states otherwise.

Local development environments and temporary staging environments used solely to develop or test an appropriately licensed production website may be permitted and generally do not require an additional license unless otherwise stated for a particular product.

Separate production websites require appropriate licensing.

Permitted Use

Subject to the applicable product license, you may:

  • Install and use the software on the number of websites or systems permitted by your license.

  • Use the software for personal or commercial projects.

  • Use the software on client websites when permitted by your purchased license.

  • Create content, websites, galleries, configurations, or other work using the software.

  • Make reasonable backup copies for your own use.

Work or content created using Create Element Labs software remains yours or your client’s, subject to any third-party rights that may apply.

Prohibited Use

Unless Create Element provides written permission, you may not:

  • Sell or redistribute copies of Create Element Labs software.

  • Share purchased software publicly.

  • Provide license credentials or activation information to unauthorized users.

  • Make the software available through download repositories, file-sharing services, forums, or similar distribution methods.

  • Resell the software as your own product.

  • Remove or falsify copyright, licensing, trademark, or ownership notices.

  • Circumvent, disable, manipulate, or bypass software activation or licensing systems.

  • Use one license on more production websites than the license permits.

  • Use Create Element branding in a manner that falsely suggests that you created or own the software.

Client Websites

Designers, developers, agencies, and other professionals may use Create Element Labs software on client websites when permitted by their purchased license.

Each production website counts toward the applicable installation limit unless the product specifically states otherwise.

You are responsible for ensuring that your license covers all websites on which the software is installed.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

Create Element retains ownership of its software and associated intellectual property.

This includes, where applicable:

  • Software code

  • Product architecture

  • User interfaces

  • Product branding

  • Logos and trademarks

  • Documentation

  • Product graphics

  • Original design elements

  • Proprietary systems and functionality

Purchasing a license grants usage rights only and does not transfer these ownership rights.

Software Updates

Create Element may periodically release maintenance updates, compatibility updates, security updates, bug fixes, improvements, and new features.

Access to updates depends on the terms associated with the product and license purchased.

Unless specifically promised as part of a product offering, purchasing one version of a product does not guarantee access to every future major version or separately released product.

Create Element may change its update model for future purchases or major product releases.

Any such changes will not retroactively remove rights expressly included with an existing purchase.

Major Upgrades

A substantial future version of a product may be released as a major upgrade.

Major upgrades may include significant new functionality, redesigned systems, new integrations, or substantial architectural changes.

Create Element may offer major upgrades separately from maintenance updates.

Existing customers may be offered upgrade pricing or other options at Create Element’s discretion.

Software Support

Unless the applicable product states otherwise, paid Create Element Labs software includes reasonable product support for one year from the original purchase date.

Included support is intended to help with issues directly related to the operation of the purchased software.

Examples include:

  • Installation questions

  • Activation problems

  • Product configuration questions

  • Clarification of documented features

  • Troubleshooting suspected software defects

  • Reasonable assistance identifying compatibility problems

What Standard Support Does Not Include

Standard product support does not include unlimited professional services.

  • Custom software development

  • Custom plugin modifications

  • Custom CSS or design work

  • Building pages or websites for you

  • General WordPress training

  • SEO consulting

  • Repairing unrelated website problems

  • Custom integrations

  • Extensive consulting

Create Element may offer these services separately for an additional fee.

Third-Party Compatibility

Create Element Labs software may operate alongside WordPress, themes, plugins, hosting platforms, APIs, browsers, and other third-party technologies.

We make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility with commonly supported environments, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every possible combination of third-party software, custom code, hosting configuration, or future third-party update.

If a third-party provider changes or discontinues technology that our software relies upon, Create Element may attempt to provide an update when reasonably practical but cannot guarantee that compatibility can always be maintained.

Modifications

You may modify software only to the extent permitted by applicable law and the license governing the software.

If you modify Create Element Labs software, Create Element is not responsible for problems caused by those modifications.

Support may require testing with an unmodified version of the software before we can determine whether an issue originates in the Create Element product.

License Abuse

Create Element may suspend or terminate license activation, update access, downloads, or support when we reasonably determine that a license is being:

  • Shared without authorization

  • Used beyond its permitted installation limit

  • Resold or redistributed

  • Used fraudulently

  • Used in material violation of these terms

Where reasonably practical, we may contact the customer before taking action so that licensing problems can be corrected.

Refunds and License Termination

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

If a software purchase is refunded or reversed, the associated software license may be terminated.

After a refund, you must discontinue use of the refunded software and remove copies from websites or systems where it was installed.

Product Discontinuation

Technology changes over time, and Create Element cannot guarantee that every software product will be developed or supported indefinitely.

If a product is discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to affected customers when practical.

Discontinuation does not transfer ownership or redistribution rights to the customer.

No Guarantee of Specific Results

Create Element Labs software is designed to provide the functionality described in the applicable product documentation and marketing materials.

We do not guarantee specific business outcomes, revenue, website traffic, search-engine rankings, conversions, sales, or other commercial results from using our software.

Related Policies

Use and purchase of Create Element Labs software are also subject to our:

  • Terms & Conditions

  • Refund Policy

  • Privacy Policy

  • Cookie Policy

If product-specific license terms are provided for a particular software product, those terms will control where they differ from this general policy.

Changes to This Policy

Create Element may update this Software License & Support Policy as our products, licensing systems, or support programs evolve.

Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise required by law.

The revision date shown at the top identifies the latest version.
