Case Study: Migrating West Coast Detailing from AIOSEO to Create Element SEO Pro

Client

West Coast Detailing LLC

San Luis Obispo, California

West Coast Detailing provides professional automotive detailing services including ceramic coating, paint protection film, window tint, and vehicle care services.

The Challenge

West Coast Detailing had been using All in One SEO (AIOSEO) to manage its WordPress SEO.

The site already contained years of SEO metadata, so changing plugins could not simply mean starting over. Titles, descriptions, indexing settings, and other SEO information needed to be preserved while moving the website onto a new SEO platform.

The project had four primary requirements:

  • Preserve the client’s existing SEO data.
  • Remove the site’s dependency on AIOSEO.
  • Improve weak or incomplete SEO entries.
  • Verify that the new plugin could manage the site safely in a real production environment.

The migration also served as the first full client deployment of Create Element SEO Pro.

The Solution

Create Element SEO Pro was installed alongside the existing SEO data and its Migration Wizard was used to detect the information stored by AIOSEO.

Before making changes, a dry-run migration was performed so the available data could be reviewed.

The migration identified:

272 AIOSEO post records

173 SEO values available for migration

The production migration then successfully wrote:

173 of 173 SEO values

with 0 skipped values.

This allowed the existing SEO work to be preserved rather than rebuilding every page manually.

SEO Data Verification

After migration, the site’s major pages were reviewed inside the Create Element SEO Pro Bulk Editor.

The migrated site contained 41 published items.

Following migration and cleanup:

  • 0 pages missing SEO titles
  • 0 pages missing meta descriptions
  • 0 thin-content findings
  • 24 pages classified as strong
  • Only 1 missing primary keyphrase remained
  • Existing titles and descriptions were successfully retained across important service pages

Important pages such as Ceramic Coating, Services, Paint Protection Film, Contact, Gallery, and the homepage retained their SEO information.

Cleaning Up Remaining SEO Issues

The migration also exposed several entries that could be improved.

Rather than simply copying everything from the previous plugin and stopping there, Create Element SEO Pro was used to identify and correct weaker entries.

News & Blog

The News page was updated with stronger local SEO targeting.

SEO Title:

News and Blog | West Coast Detailing San Luis Obispo

Its description and focus keyphrases were also rewritten to better reflect local vehicle-care content, service updates, training, awards, and detailing information.

Privacy Policy & Terms

AIOSEO template variables were still present in some utility-page SEO titles.

For example:

#site_title #separator_sa #post_title

These were replaced with clean, readable titles such as:

Privacy Policy | West Coast Detailing LLC

and:

Terms & Conditions | West Coast Detailing LLC

Because these are legal utility pages rather than search landing pages, they were also configured appropriately instead of artificially stuffing them with local-service keywords.

Bulk SEO Workflow

Create Element SEO Pro’s Bulk Editor allowed the site’s SEO metadata to be reviewed from a single screen.

Instead of opening dozens of WordPress pages individually, titles, descriptions, scores, and optimization opportunities could be reviewed together.

The CSV export/import workflow was also tested during the project, demonstrating a future workflow where larger groups of SEO changes can be exported, edited in a spreadsheet, previewed, and safely imported back into WordPress.

By the end of the cleanup:

No red problem pages remained in the Bulk Editor.

Technical SEO Configuration

Create Element SEO Pro was configured to manage the site’s core SEO functions, including:

  • Metadata output
  • Redirect processing
  • 404 logging
  • Organization schema
  • Social-sharing defaults
  • Sitemap and indexing controls
  • Page-level SEO analysis
  • Technical site crawling

The site was also checked to confirm there were no competing active SEO plugins producing duplicate metadata.

The Result

Before the cleanup, Create Element SEO Pro measured the site’s SEO health at 76 / 100.

Following migration, metadata cleanup, and page-level optimization, the score increased to 81 / 100.

That represents a measurable improvement while retaining the client’s existing SEO work.

More importantly, the website moved from an expired third-party SEO setup to a system that could be actively maintained and improved inside Create Element SEO Pro.

Before vs. After

Before: AIOSEO dependency

After: Create Element SEO Pro

Before: Existing SEO data at migration risk

After: 173 SEO values successfully preserved

Before: AIOSEO template variables on some pages

After: Clean human-readable SEO titles

Before: Several weak Bulk Editor scores

After: No red Bulk Editor pages

Before: SEO Health Score 76

After: SEO Health Score 81

Before: Separate third-party SEO workflow

After: Integrated health scan, crawler, redirects, 404s, and bulk management

Why This Migration Matters

Switching SEO plugins is not simply an installation task.

An improperly handled migration can cause lost page titles, lost meta descriptions, indexing changes, duplicate metadata, broken redirects, and ranking volatility.

The goal of this project was therefore not merely to replace one plugin with another. It was to preserve the site’s existing SEO foundation and improve it at the same time.

Create Element SEO Pro successfully handled both parts of that process.

Tools Used

Create Element SEO Pro 1.0.5, including:

  • Migration Wizard
  • SEO Health Dashboard
  • Bulk SEO Editor
  • Page-level SEO analysis

Final Outcome

West Coast Detailing became the first live client migration demonstrating that Create Element SEO Pro could successfully replace an established WordPress SEO plugin in a real production environment.

The project resulted in:

173 SEO values migrated successfully

0 missing titles

0 missing descriptions

0 red Bulk Editor pages

SEO Health Score increased from 76 to 81

A successful migration without starting the client’s SEO over from scratch.
